Another Antti!

After a super short search for a new drummer we now have the pleasure of introducing Antti Meriläinen as the newest member of the Firsts! Antti joined the band on May 5th and we're now busy reworking our current set and adding some really exciting new tunes to our show. Welcome aboard Antti 2!

With change comes free music!

Things are changing in the land of the Firsts... Chris has left the band and we're busy looking for and testing drummers to replace him. Inevitably our music will evolve when we introduce a new member so we've decided to make our current catalogue of music available for free download. Starting from today you can grab nine tracks from our LastFM page!! We will also be introducing iLike and MySpace downloads over the next couple of days (the same songs) so if you can't access LastFM you can wait for the downloads to become available there. We'll post a bulletin on our Facebook page when the tracks are available! Enjoy ;)

An important announcement

After a six month stint with the Firsts, Chris has decided to leave the band. His last performance with us will be at On The Rocks on April 27th so please come along and wish him all the best for his future projects! Chris' decision to leave is a personal one but we're pleased to remain on good terms with Chris and we thank him for everything he's put into the band during his time with us!

Of course, Chris' departure means that we are now on the lookout for a new drummer!! So... if you fancy yourself becoming a regular member of the Firsts you should get in touch with us as soon as possible. Just drop an email to us, give us a brief overview of who you are and tell us why you think you're the one for the job ;)

We just wanna extend a massive thanks to everyone who voted for us at the Sisulla Stagelle competition! We received 60 votes altogether :O Thankfully we didn't win otherwise we'd probably have been eaten alive by Sturm und Drang... and... to be honest, the audience at the gig probably wouldn't have appreciated our sound very much! Oh well, it's the exposure that counts ;)
